Contemplation about Dorian Gray

The title already says a lot about this work. It's not so much of a concept as an idea; a thought. I have been wanting to make a dorian gray-picture of myself for a long time, and finally decided I wanted to do something with decay - not paint it, but let it happen. Let the painting decay.

But then I started to think: what would be worse? To grow older while the world flourishes? Or to stay the same, while everything around you starts to fall apart?

It's not a concept with a conclusion. It's just something to think about.
